Dr. Geils has been working as a professional in the veterinary field since 2015, and a licensed veterinarian since 2020. Her special interests include emergency and critical care, internal medicine, dentistry and applying Traditional Chinese Medicine in veterinary care. A native of the Philippines, Dr. Geils completed her undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude at the University of San Carlos and went on to earn her degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of the Philippines. Since moving to Georgia, she first worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician in emergency care settings and in more recent years as a veterinarian in small animal urgent care and general practice. Dr. Geils and her husband have recently moved into a new home in Woodstock where they live with their pets.

Dr.Karl LeurartOwner, DVM
Dr. Karl has been the owner of Free Home Animal Hospital, since opening the doors in 2000. He began practicing as a small animal veterinarian in the northern suburbs of Atlanta over 30 years ago. In addition to diagnostics and dentistry, Dr. Karl is also skilled in surgery and has a particular interest in orthopedic surgery. Born in French-speaking Belgium, he graduated from veterinary college at the University of Liege. Following graduation, he served as an officer and small animal veterinarian for the Belgian Armed Forces in Germany. He met his wife of over 30 years, Amy, when she was an American exchange student in Belgium, and they moved to North Georgia in 1992. Dr. Karl and Amy have three young adult children, two cats - Marbles and Alex, and a dog, Lucy. Having devoted more than half of his life to the veterinary profession, Dr. Karl's commitment to patient care and client service are foundational to Free Home Animal Hospital's success. When he is not caring for our clients' pets, Dr. Karl enjoys playing tennis and tackling home improvement projects.
